GTBank Wins “Best Aviation Online Payment Award”

The technology savvy bank, Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has been recognized for the provision of the most convenient and reliable aviation online payments and collections platforms for the aviation sector at the first ever National Aviation Awards ceremony that took place Friday’ 29th July, 2016 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra.

The Bank emerged winner in the “Best Aviation Online Payment Award” category. The Director General of Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Simon Allotey presented the award to GTBank on behalf of the organizers of the event.

The Awards ceremony which had the theme “Recognizing the Cream and the Unsung Heroes in the Aviation Industry” was attended by key industry players in the aviation sector ranging from international and domestic airlines, financial institutions and insurance to tourism and air ticketing companies.

Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Lekan Sanusi who led a delegation from the Bank to receive the Award commented that the future of the Aviation Industry in Ghana is promising with tremendous improvement in international and domestic aircraft movements and it is refreshing to know that the Bank’s contribution to providing a customized, safe, efficient and reliable online payment and collection platform for the aviation sector has been recognized.

Mr. Sanusi further stated that, “It means a lot to us for GTBank to win the first ever “Best Aviation Online Payment Award” as this comes to further endorse our superiority in providing technology advanced products and services. The Award is dedicated to all our customers and partners in the aviation industry and the entire GTBank family, especially our Aviation Banking Team.”

Group Head, Corporate Bank II, Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Nana Kwabena Afoom, under whose ambit the Aviation Banking Team falls expressed his delight and satisfaction that the Bank’s efforts in providing tailor-made e-banking solutions to meet aviation customer needs have been recognized.
