GTBank Partners Dana Air on Collections

...Maiden flight confirmed for 1st December 2015

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has entered into a collection service agreement with Dre Aviation, the General Sales Agent (GSA), Legal and Operations representative of Dana Airlines, a fully private-sector owned airline operating in Nigeria that is scheduled to begin flights into Accra beginning from the 1st of December, 2015.

This agreement would allow passengers to make flight reservations on Dana Air’s website and then visit any GTBank branch to make payment with their Passenger Name Reference (PNR) across all the thirty three branches of the bank nationwide.

The collection service on behalf of Dana Air brings to four the number of airlines that GTBank presently collects payments of online flight reservations for across all of its branches. The other three are; British Airways / Iberia, MedView and Starbow.

Dana Airlines Limited commenced operations in Nigeria in November 2008 and with a vision to fly to most African destinations, they recently opened an office in Ghana, represented by Dre Aviation.

Explaining the decision to opt for GTBank’s GTCollect platform as an option to collect payments from passengers, the Chairman of Dre Aviation, Mr. Reginald Bannerman said, “We recognize the fact that people may not have time to come to our office to book and pay for their flights and so we looked for a convenient way by which passengers can make payments from wherever they find themselves. GTBank is an obvious choice because of their commendable presence across the country and efficient collection platforms.”

Commenting on the partnership, Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Mr. Lekan Sanusi stated that ‘We are glad that Dana Air has come aboard our convenient collection platform”.

“GTCollect, GTPay and other such secure and reliable payment and collection platforms have been deployed to companies and institutions that see the need to provide convenience and alternative means for customers to make payments. We are delighted that Dana Air has also joined the institutions creating value for customers”, he further stated.

The Managing Director hinted that both institutions are working towards the provision of further convenience by deploying GTPay, the bank’s robust online collection platform to enable Dana Air passengers to book online and pay online at the convenience of their homes, offices or anywhere with the use of a Visa card, MasterCard, Maestro or Cirrus cards.

Institutions that have adopted GTPay, GTCollect, GTPOS and other forms of payment and collection platforms from GTBank include University of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Regent University of Science and Technology, WAEC and British Airways.
