In a significant contribution to national security and law enforcement, Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Ltd has donated 100 brand-new motorbikes to the Ghana Police Service to support its operational mobility and improve community policing efforts across the country. The official handover ceremony took place at the Ghana Police Headquarters in Accra and was attended by top officials of GTBank Ghana and Senior Police Officers. The donation is part of GTBank Ghana’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at supporting public institutions that promote safety, peace, and national development. Speaking at the event, Managing Director of GTBank Ghana, Mr. Thomas John, expressed the Bank’s commitment to partnering with key institutions for the development of Ghana. “We believe a secure environment is fundamental to national growth and prosperity. These motorbikes are our contribution toward enhancing the visibility, responsiveness and reach of the Ghana Police Service in serving and protecting our communities. We are proud to play a role in strengthening the logistics of the police force,” Mr. John stated. Receiving the donation, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, commended GTBank Ghana for its continuous support and responsiveness to national needs. “This timely donation will go a long way in improving our patrol capabilities, especially in remote and underserved areas. It is also a powerful signal of how the private sector can complement our efforts in building a safer Ghana. The 100 motorbikes, equipped with safety kits, fully fueled and branded in readiness for work, will be distributed to various police commands across the country to support daily patrols, traffic management, and rapid response operations.
