Jamiu Yusuff |

Currently on secondment as a General Manager and Group Head, Operations and Technology for Guaranty Trust (Ghana) Limited, Jamiu joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Nigeria in 1992 and has had experiences in Internal Audit and Control, Clearing, Operations and Relationship Management. He was part of the team that implemented Guaranty Trust Bank Plc’s new accounting system (BASIS) in 1998, with specific responsibility for Clearing. He also setup the Akure branch (Nigeria) in the year 2000 as the pioneer Branch Manager. He moved back to Lagos in April 2002 to take charge of the Transactions Services Group- Lagos & West as the Regional Head, the assignment he handled until his redeployment to Ghana in April, 2005.
Jamiu completed his Higher National Diploma (HND) programme from The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria with Distinction in 1987. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from Ogun State University, Ago-Iwoye (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Nigeria.
He is an Alumnus of the Lagos Business School, Nigeria and has undertaken the Performance Leadership Programme of the International Institute of Management Development (IMD), Laussane, Switzerland. He has attended several courses cutting across Customer Service, Management and Leadership amongst others. Back to Top |

Joana Bannerman |

Joana holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture (Economics Major) from the University of Science and Technology and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance Option), from the University of Ghana, Legon. She is currently a student member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, with 3 papers outstanding.
She is the Group Head of Commercial Banking Group of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited. Joana served as Head of Business Development Group. Before her recent re-assignment, she was in charge of Foreign Operations. Prior to joining Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Joana had worked with the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) for a total of 12 years in various positions and capacities.
She was at the Foreign Operations Department of the Bank for 7 years during which period she worked at the various units such as exports, imports, customer service etc. She was also a member of the team that pioneered the implementation of the Western Union Money Transfer System in Ghana.
Also at ADB, she worked as the officer in charge of Commercial Credit at the Gulf House Branch, Legon Accra and from February 2003 to December 2005, was the Branch Manager of the Dansoman Branch of the Bank.
Prior to joining ADB, Joana had worked at Women’s World Banking (Ghana) Limited as a Project Officer in charge of income generating projects for women. She also executed various contracts for the United States Peace Corps as trainer/training coordinator for Peace Corps Volunteers.

Sheba Safo-Adu |

Sheba Safo-Adu joined Guaranty Trust Bank ( Ghana) Limited in December as Group Head, Corporate Banking. Sheba holds an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from King’s College, University of London. Sheba has over 10 years experience in International Corporate Banking and Institutional sales. Prior to joining GTBank, she worked with Citibank and more recently Ramius, an alternative Investment Management firm in London.
At Citigroup, she was Vice-President within the firm’s Corporate Banking Relationship Management Group covering European chemical and pharmaceutical clients where she worked for seven years. She later took on the responsibility of Trade Product Manager for Citibank’s emerging market customers. Before joining GTBank, she worked with Ramius to provide institutional client coverage which included major insurance companies, pension funds and financial institutions. Sheba is an alumnus of Achimota School.

Stephen Ahwakyi Abban |

Stephen Abban is the Group Head of the Retail Banking Group of Guaranty Trust Bank ( Ghana) Limited. He holds an MSc. in Information Technology from the Computing Science Department of University of Glasgow, Scotland. His undergraduate study was at University of Ghana where he obtained a BSc in Agriculture Science.
Prior to joining GTBank, Stephen worked at Amalgamated Bank Limited from January 2001 to October 2005. He worked as an IT officer from January 2001. By December the same year Stephen had become the Head of the Technology department of the Bank and got promoted to the rank of a Manager by December 2003.
He remained the Head of the Technology department of Amalgamated Bank until October 2005 when he joined Guaranty Trust Bank ( Ghana) Limited as the Head of the Technology Unit. With a strong expertise in IT best practices, Equinox Banking system, BASIS Banking system, Java Programming, Network and security management, SWIFT administration, Data Security and Disaster Recovery systems, he managed to set up and maintained a stable state-of-the art technology systems for GTBank. He is a member of the British Computer Society and has a certification in IT Service Management, ITIL®Version3.
Stephen Abban successfully managed the Technology Unit until 1 st January 2009 when he was appointed as the Group Head of the Retail Banking Group of the bank.

Daniel Gaikpah |

Daniel is a Chartered Accountant and the Manager of the Risk Management Unit of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited. Prior to his re-assignment, he held the position of Head of Systems & Control (SYSCON) Unit . He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration with a Finance option from the University of Ghana and a Bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Cape Coast. He is a member of the
Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) UK, the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) Ghana . Prior to joining Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Daniel had worked for over 5 years with KPMG Ghana as a Senior Associate. Daniel has extensive knowledge in accounting, finance and with a speciality in auditing. He also worked briefly as an Assistant Inspector of Taxes at the Internal Revenue Service.

Anthony Mensah is the Group Head for Consumer Banking. He joined the bank as the Head of Domestic Operations in January, 2006 before the bank officially opened in March the same year. He endeared himself so well in this role that he was re-assigned as the Head of Operations (Transactions Services Unit) after 6 months.
Tony was one of the forerunners in the establishment of the Tema Branch in April 2007, developing it into a profit-making one in the face of stiff competition.
Prior to joining Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, Tony Mensah worked for five years with Deloitte Ghana as a Consultant. He also worked for a year with Vicdoris Pharmaceuticals Ltd as the Finance and Admin. Manager.
Among his engagements at Deloitte were JD Edwards Software implementations at Tema Oil Refinery (1999 -2000), Tally Accounting Software implementation for companies like Star Oil, Royal Aluminum, KAMA Industries, Tanink Gh. Limited and Dannex Pharmaceuticals etc.
He is a member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (UK). He also holds a B.A. Admin. (Accounting & Economics) Degree from the University of Ghana (1993 - 1997) and has a certificate from the Ghana Stock Exchange in Basic and Advanced Securities, Securities Trading & Investment Advice etc. (1999).
His clients are always satisfied with his customer service and relationship management.

Araba is currently the Head of E-Settlement Unit of Guaranty Trust Bank ( Ghana) Limited. Before this appointment, she was Head of the bank's Labone Branch. Prior to her appointment as Branch Head, she was the Head of the Card Services Unit. Araba has over five years working experience in the banking industry; she worked as a Customer Relations Officer with SG-SSB Cards Department and was in charge of all customer related issues, promoting the bank's VISA products and facilitating training sessions on cards products.
She was also a Customer Advisor with the Cape Coast Branch of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited . She holds a BA in Social Science from the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. She has attended a number of Visa International meetings, and courses as well as several Banking courses at the National Banking College and GIMPA which has given her a lot of exposure in the plastic card industry and banking in general.

Kafui Bimpe |

Kafui is the Head of Systems and Control Unit (SYSCON) of Guaranty Trust Bank ( Ghana) Limited. Prior to joining the bank, he worked as a Supervising Senior with Ernst & Young Ghana and as the Head of Accounting and Finance Department of Regent University College of Science and Technology.
Kafui has extensive experience in the audit of donor-funded projects, business operations, financial due-diligence reviews, diagnostic studies, accounting, and management consulting. He has been involved in business improvement reviews, SOX, project and statutory audits in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and UK. He has provided relevant recommendations leading to corporate re-organization, financial restructuring, modernization and business process and internal control improvements.
Kafui is an affiliate member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He also holds an MBA in Finance from Coventry University, UK and B.Ed Social Science degree from the University of Cape Coast.

Iris Richter-Addo

Iris is the Group Head of Corporate Services of the Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the University of Ghana and Barrister at Law (BL) qualification from the Ghana School of Law. She also holds a Master’s Degree (cum laude) in International Trade and Investment Law from the University of the Western Cape, Cape Town, South Africa/American University, Washington DC, USA.
Called to the Ghana Bar in 1995, she is a lawyer by profession with over 10 years post-qualification experience in diverse areas of Law. Prior to joining Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited as the Head of the Legal and Compliance Unit, Iris had been working as an Associate Lawyer with Messrs Fugar & Company, a reputable law firm with offices in Accra, Ghana, providing legal and company secretarial services to a myriad of clients.
Other professional training courses she has undertaken include the Ghana Stock Exchange Courses (1997) in Basic Securities, Advanced Securities and Securities Trading.
