He is the Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank ( Ghana) Limited. Prior to this appointment, Dolapo was the pioneer Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank ( Sierra Leone) Limited.
He joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, Nigeria at inception in 1990 as an Assistant Manager in one of the Bank’s Credit & Marketing Teams.

He worked with Continental Merchant Bank (formerly Chase Merchant Bank) from 1986 to 1988, Prime Merchant Bank (1988-1989) and Kapital Merchant Bank, (1989-1990).

He established Guaranty Trust Bank Plc’s first presence in Eastern Nigeria, the hub of the oil & gas industry, as the pioneer Manager of its Port Harcourt Branch in 1993. In 1996, Dolapo was seconded to Magnum Trust Bank (a newly acquired wholly owned subsidiary at that time) where he was responsible for Business Development and Branch Expansion.

He returned to Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in 2001 to oversee the Bank’s Branch Expansion Programme as well as management of the Bank’s first Small and Medium Industries Equity Investment Scheme portfolio before being seconded to set up the Bank’s operations in Sierra Leone and thereafter, to Ghana.

His experience in banking covers business development, credit and marketing, currency trading, financial control, all aspects of commercial, corporate and consumer banking and managing financial institutions, general administration and change management.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Ogun State University, Nigeria in 1986 and a Master’s in Business Administration from the same University. He has also attended several management development programmes at the Lagos Business School, Nigeria, Columbia Business School New York, International Institute of Management Development (IMD) Switzerland, IESE Barcelona Spain, etc.
